Well as i found out there is simply no other method or machine that can match the result from using modern truck mounted equipment. With the right technique a cleaner can flush the carpet fibers right down to the base with very hot water. Yet at the same time achieve dry times of just few hours because of the powerful vacuum these machines create.
Especially if a customer is health conscious this is the best method. As a side note all the dirty water goes outside to the cleaning van.
Sometimes i will use various scrubbers or pile lifting machines to agitate the detergent in certain carpets but this is followed by a thorough hot water extraction. Sometimes the combination of methods works the best especially on particularly abused carpets.
